Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveling Registered Nurse will contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care for patients in various units including Med Surg, Telemetry, and ICU. Shift Notes Start time: 0700 Floating to units: 3A, 4A, 5A, and ICU/Flex Weekend requirements: Every other weekend No on-call requirements Responsibilities Provide patient care in Medical Surgical and Telemetry settings. Perform and manage care for patients who require drips including heparin, PCA, epidurals, diltiazem, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone. Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing. Must be comfortable reading and measuring telemetry strips. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Ability to float within the same discipline across multiple locations. Certification Requirements Active ACLS certification. Active BLS certification. Active NIHSS certification. Employee Separation Policy Any past employee, regardless of employment type, is not eligible for travel positions within another market for 12 months. Orientation Dates 11/23 12/7 12/21 Winter Holiday Requirements Travelers will be required to work on 2 out of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
