Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse contributes professional and clinical expertise in the delivery and management of patient care. This role includes working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Shift Notes 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts Willingness to float to other medical-surgical areas is required Weekend Requirements Availability to work every other weekend is necessary. Essential Responsibilities Providing direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring of vitals. Working effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting to enhance patient care. Participating in patient assessments, developing care plans, and implementing treatment strategies. Floating to various medical-surgical units as necessary while maintaining patient safety and care standards. Unit Details Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1 Types of patients include those undergoing Neuro/Ortho and Med-Surg surgeries Required scrub color: Navy Blue Qualifications Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience is required. Experience with Heparin is a must. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Certifications and Requirements Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; will also accept ARC or US military certificates) Active NIHSS certification Valid driver's license Orientation Dates November 9 November 23 December 7 Holiday and Time-Off Policy Travelers are required to work two of the three holidays during the winter season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. There will be a limit of one day off request between November 25-29 and December 23-27 for all traveling staff. Employee Policy Past employees of the organization cannot apply for travel positions in a different market within the last 12 months if they were previously employed as FTE or PRN for the float pool.
