Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Notes Full-time position with 12-hour shifts starting at 0700 and a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Must be available to work every third weekend and may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Job Description As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. Orientation Dates 11/23 12/7 12/21 Holiday Requirements The traveler is expected to work two of the following three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. A maximum of one day off is allowed between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 for all travelers. Unit Specifics This position involves caring for patients with a variety of conditions, including: Orthopedic Urology General Surgery Oncology Medical Scrub color for this position is navy blue. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience is required. High-acuity care experience is preferred. Experience administering Heparin, PCA, epidural, and chemotherapy (if certified) is required. First-time travelers are welcomed; prior travel experience is preferred. Certification Requirements Active BLS certification (AHA preferred, but will accept ARC or US Military certificates) Active ACLS certification (AHA preferred, but will accept ARC or US Military certificates) Active NIHSS certification (can be obtained during onboarding) Additional Requirements Successfully provide a valid driver's license and complete a skills checklist specific to the Med Surg discipline, along with a supervisory reference form completed within the last two years.
