Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse provides professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the management and delivery of patient care. Shift Notes Start time is at 1900, with responsibilities including floating to various units such as 3A, 4A, 5A, and ICU/Flex as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Holidays and Orientation Travelers are expected to work two out of the three major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Requests for time off are limited during the holiday periods. Orientation dates are available on 11/23, 12/7, and 12/21. Responsibilities Contribute to patient care management while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Float within the same discipline as required across various locations. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing is required. Proficiency in administering various IV drips including heparin, PCAs, epidurals, cardizem, nitroglycerin, and amiodarone is required. Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is essential.
