Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. This role requires flexibility to float within the same discipline across multiple locations as needed. Shift Notes Shift starts at 1900 36-hour guarantee Every other weekend required Weekend Requirements Travelers are expected to work every other weekend. Holiday Requirements Travelers will be required to work two of the following three winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day. There is a limit of one day off request between November 25-29 and December 23-27 for all travelers. Unit Specifics Types of patients: Cardiac, Stroke, General Medical Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6 for Nights Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required. Prior travel work experience is required. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required. Experience with Cardiazem, Nitro, Heparin (titrate), and Amiodarone is preferred. Active Iowa or compact nursing license is required. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required. Driver’s license is required.
