Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the delivery of quality care to patients in a high-acuity neurocritical care environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU. Monitor and manage patients with complex neurological conditions. Administer medications and therapies as prescribed. Perform critical nursing skills including IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management. Conduct intracranial pressure monitoring and respond to alarms and alerts appropriately. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in patient care planning and execution of advanced care strategies. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or Neuro ICU setting. Previous travel nursing experience is preferred. Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only). Proficient in necessary nursing skills including IV start, telemetry, ventilator use, and intracranial pressure monitoring. Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic, is required. Schedule This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week with flexible weekend shifts available on Friday and Saturday nights. Floating to equivalent or lower acuity units is required.
