Job Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the PCU unit, focusing on Acute Leukemia care. This position involves providing high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with newly diagnosed acute leukemia. Experience in acute care nursing is required. Job Details Unit: 15 East, Acute Leukemia Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Rotation: 12 Hour Day/Night shifts may vary based on departmental needs. Staffing Ratios: Ideal is 1:4; may vary to 1:5. Weekends: Scheduled based on unit needs. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Certification in BLS and ACLS is required. Experience in telemetry and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias is essential. Basic computer skills, with experience in computerized charting using EPIC. Preferred Certifications ONS Chemotherapy Certification NIH Stroke Scale Certification Skills Required Telemetry monitoring and interpretation. Management of feeding tubes. IV therapy and phlebotomy expertise. Administration of blood products. Management of central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines. Experience with Rapid Response Teams.
