Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in a highly specialized unit. The RN will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with complex diagnoses, including active oncology cases, and will manage various medical conditions that may arise during treatment. Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias. Administer IV insulin protocols and manage insulin drips effectively. Provide care for patients with active oncology diagnosis/treatment as well as other medical issues such as surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Float to various units as required. Work every other weekend on Friday and Saturday nights. Qualifications Current RN licensure is required. A minimum of one year of nursing experience. Telemetry experience is essential. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS. Strong skills in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Unit Information The unit operates as a corrections unit, requiring access from Corrections Officers to enter. Nurses will be responsible for providing care to inmates with various healthcare needs.
