Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background with a commitment to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU. Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in acuity. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Perform IV starts and monitor telemetry as needed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans. Float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity when required. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring. Experience with EPIC electronic health records is required. Schedule This position requires availability for weekdays, certain weekends, and holidays, with a rotating schedule. Patient Ratios The estimated patient care ratio is 1:3.
