Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This night shift position offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Surgical PCU. Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Float to other units within the health system as needed. Participate in patient and family education. Qualifications Must possess an active nursing license. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a progressive care unit or similar setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Experience with electronic health records (Epic) is necessary. Telemetry experience is required. Shift Information This position is for night shifts, requiring three 12-hour shifts per week. Some weekends will be included in the schedule.
