Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will contribute their professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients within a progressive care environment. Shift Notes 0700 start time 36 or 48-hour guarantee available Floating required Weekend Requirements Mandatory to work every other weekend and holiday. Orientation Dates November 9 November 23 December 7 Unit Details Patient Ratios: 1:4 (can go 1:5) Floating required to all inpatient and emergency department areas Types of patients/surgeries: CHF, Ablation, Angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, Stroke, Pacemaker, Sepsis Scrub Color: Navy Blue Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role Mandatory reporter certification required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Willingness to float within the same discipline across multiple locations Active Iowa or compact nursing license Active BLS (AHA Preferred; will also accept ARC or US Military certifications) Active ACLS (AHA Preferred; will also accept ARC or US Military certifications) Active NIHSS certification Driver’s license required Employee Separation Policy Any past employee cannot work travel in another market within 12 months of their last assignment. For those who have worked travel at mentioned organization, the separation policy does not apply. Local Radius Rule All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on their driver's license. Winter Holiday Requirements Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and there is a limit of 1 day off request between specified dates for all travelers.
