Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler utilizes professional and clinical expertise to provide and manage care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Shift Details Shift start time: 1900 36 or 48 hours guarantee available Every other weekend and holiday required Floating to various inpatient areas and the Emergency Department (ED) is required Weekend and Holiday Requirements Mandatory work during every other weekend and holiday Winter holidays: Must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) Limit of 1 day off request between the specified holiday periods Unit Details Patient ratios: 1:4 (may adjust to 1:5) Types of patients and surgeries: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Ablation, Angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), Stroke, Pacemaker insertion, Sepsis Scrub color: Navy Blue Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a progressive care setting is required Mandatory reporter status is required Active Iowa or compact nursing license Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS A driver's license is required Orientation Dates November 9 November 23 December 7 PK-38675212
