Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize professional and clinical knowledge to contribute to the provision and management of care for patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Shift & Scheduling Start time: 1900 hours 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantee Every other weekend and holiday required Floating to other units required Holiday Requirements The traveler will be required to work two of the three major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Additionally, there will be limited time off requests during the holiday periods specified. Unit Details Patient Ratios: 1:4 (may go up to 1:5) Types of patients include: CHF, Ablation, Angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, Stroke, Pacemaker, and sepsis Floating required to all inpatient areas and the Emergency Department (ED) Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Ability to float within the same discipline across multiple locations First-time travelers are welcome to apply Certification Requirements Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted) Active ACLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted) Active NIHSS Certification Licensing Requirements Active Iowa nursing license or compact nursing license PK-38675904
