Registered Nurse Unit Description This position is within a 24-bed telemetry unit equipped to handle 8 step-down patients. The unit features large rooms with private bathrooms and showers, emphasizing a team nursing approach. Patient Care Ratios 3:1 ratio for step-down patients 5:1 ratio for day shift 6:1 ratio for night shift Required Certifications and Training BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Completion of 8 hours of stroke training Key Responsibilities Medication administration Conducting patient assessments Developing and implementing care plans Effective communication with patients and their families Collaboration with team members to ensure quality patient care Physical Requirements Responsibilities may require pushing, pulling, lifting, and other physical activities to meet the needs of patients.
