Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Description This is a 24-bed telemetry unit equipped to handle up to 8 step-down patients. The unit features large rooms with private bathrooms and showers, promoting patient comfort and privacy. The nursing approach is based on teamwork within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Utilize state-of-the-art telemetry technology to monitor patient vital signs and health status. Administer medications and assist with various patient care duties. Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients. Support and assist patients in their recovery process within a step-down care setting. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide high-quality care. Patient Ratios 3:1 ratio for step-down patients 5:1 ratio for day shifts 6:1 ratio for night shifts Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license verification in the applicable state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Completion of 8 hours of stroke training. Skills Ability to perform pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed. Competency in medication administration and patient assessments. Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork.
