Registered Nurse (RN) Department RN Step Down Unit Description This is a 24-bed telemetry unit with the capability of accommodating 8 step-down patients. The unit features large rooms equipped with private bathrooms and showers, utilizing a team nursing approach. Job Responsibilities Provide patient care to step-down and telemetry patients. Administer medications and perform assessments. Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Maintain effective communication with patients and their families. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Patient Ratios 3:1 ratio for step-down patients 5:1 ratio for day shift 6:1 ratio for night shift Qualifications Current RN license in the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Completion of 8 hours of stroke training. Capability for pushing, pulling, and lifting as required.
