Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Information Days, 4x12 hr shifts, 48 hrs/week (36 hrs can be accommodated if preferred); holiday rotation; no on-call responsibilities; every other weekend required. Job Description We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg/Telemetry and Stepdown units. This role involves direct patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality care. Unit Information Bed Size: 18 Patient Ratio: Average of 1:5-6; critical patients 1:2-3 Patient Types: Med-Surg plus BiPAP and critical infusions Common Drips: Insulin, Levophed, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Dobutamine, and Propofol (only for transfers) Specialty Equipment: BiPAP, critical infusions, tracheostomy care, Home CPAP, Airvo Qualifications Minimum of 15 months experience in IMCU, PCU, Stepdown, or Med Surg / Med Tele. New travelers are welcome with at least 24 months of experience. Required equipment experience: BiPAP, trach, Airvo. Required drip experience: Levophed, Cardizem. Highly preferred drip experience: Insulin. EMR experience with EPIC is required. Drip experience with Heparin, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, and Dobutamine is required. Certification Requirements Active BLS certification (AHA preferred) Active ACLS certification (AHA preferred) NIHSS certification is preferred. Additional Notes Contractors may be required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) unless the unit is closed.
