Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a progressive care unit (PCU) setting. The position primarily involves night shifts. Job Details Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift (7 PM – 7:30 AM) Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Work typically every 3rd weekend and cover 1 holiday. On-Call Requirements: No on-call expected; however, occasional call days may be requested based on staffing needs. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the PCU, including those recovering from cardiac procedures. Administer medications and therapies, including cardiac drips and care for post-operative open-heart patients. Float to other units as needed during low volumes or staffing crises. Occasionally care for ventilated patients under specific circumstances. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cardiac step-down nursing. Experience with heart catheter recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients required. Proficient in using Epic EMR. Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
