Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Home Health - Mobile

Shift: Days, 8a-5p, 8x5, 40hrs per week

Length: 13 Weeks

Weekend : Every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed
On call every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed

Requirements:
  • IL license
  • 1-2 years MS or acute care experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in home care experience preferred
  • BLS
  • Phlebotomy
  • Ortho Experience Required, wound vac, glucometer, pro-time machine PT/INR, IV pumps, central lines / ports special requirements
  • Customer Service and excellence, Need to represent self as part of BJC Alton Home Care special requirements

Points per day/week: How are points broken down? “We use a daily point system 5.2 is our productivity. This could be 5 labs/lines, 1 start of care oasis 2 labs/lines, each different visit is waited for what they are doing.”
Guaranteed Hours: 8 Rule: 40.00 hours per 1 week
Types of Cases: clinical nursing, PT, OT in home
Point Of Care visits: wound care, wound vac, IV therapy (antibiotics, TPN), post ortho/joint, incision assessment follow up, post surgical assessment/complications, post stroke, pneumonia; patient education meds, wound care; trach care, teaching; GTubes feedings, teaching; ADLs assessment, OASIS Doc Exp.
Years of experience REQ: 1-2 years MS or acute care experience preferred; Minimum 1 year in home care experience preferred
First-timers accepted: (Y)
Weekend REQ: every 3rd to 4th weekend as needed
Certs REQ: BLS, Phlebotomy

Do clinicians typically work at the same homes? Yes, clinicians are assigned to a POD which consists of a group of zip codes and a multidisciplinary Team to manage the patients, however if needed they will assist in other PODs to provide patient care.

What is the mile radius that clinicians are expected to cover? It varies, but the range is roughly 40 – 80 miles starting with the first patient and ending with the last patient.
