Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PCU A5E 48's

Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12x4, 48 hrs per week, will also consider 36 hrs

Length: 13 weeks

Must be flexible with weekend requirements, weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.

Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract

Requirements:
  • IN license
  • 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Skillset Requirements: Cardiac PCU, Drips, Post Cath Lab, IV Starts, and Sheath Pulls
  • BLS
  • ACLS preferred
  • Skillset Preferences: Conscious Sedation and Telemetry

Travelers with permanent residence in Indiana
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.

Certification Requirements: BCLS; ACLS Preferred

Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed.

Unit Information: A progressive care unit that focuses on the close monitoring of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including, congestive heart failure, post- myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congenital heart defects, and infective endocarditis along with a multitude of other co-morbidities.. We care for patient post-cath lab procedures, prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants and pre- valve replace
